Therapists are required to attain a minimum of 12 hours a year of Continuing education in the field of Massage Therapy.
At The Therapy House we believe it requires much more than annual CEU hours to be a great therapist. That is why we designed an in-house program to hone the skills of our team keeping them ahead of the therapeutic curve.
Each week we hold trainings that the entire staff attends. We teach new modalities and techniques that amplify what the therapists already know. We don’t train to have every massage be the same. We train that each individual is different and each session with that individual will also be unique. This requires good listening skills as well as a consultive approach to therapy.
Annually our therapists receive 78 hours of continued education along with tips and refreshers that make all the difference in the “feel” of their massage. We find these weekly trainings not only support the therapists’ technical ability it helps them keep their energetic spark. Ask any therapist on the floor how they feel about the trainings and they will quickly tell you how it has made a difference in their performance and how they LOVE the sessions!
